I'm a bit surprised that this forum isn't overflowing. I think sometimes we overlook the everyday blessings and miracles like waking up! There is a gospel song that says, "somebody went to bed last night and didn't get up this morning". Are you in your right mind today? Do you have your sight, hearing, sense of smell or taste? Was there food for you to eat and water to drink today? Do you have a car? If so, did it stop when you applied the brake or move when you hit the gas? If you don't have a car, do you have use of your legs? Do you have a place to lay your head? If so, is it air conditioned in the summer and heated in the winter? Are you able to read and write? Are you free to praise and worship God? Do you have freedom of speech?
These are but a few of the many gifts God gives us every single day and yet when we are asked to think of our blessings we look to the bigger things like being healed of an illness, or a financial blessing.
I have so many things to give thanks and praise to Yeshua for. I thank Him for giving us the technology of the Internet. Without it, this site and others like it would not exist. I thank Him for my family, my friends, and my life. I thank Him for His Word, His promises, His love, His mercy, His grace, His sacrifice. I thank Him for all the wonderful people I have met through this site, CWC, UKC, , Blog 365, my blog and all the blogs I have visited. I thank Him for opening up my understanding that He uses the internet for His purpose and that I should not be afraid of it. I thank Him for His patience with me. I thank Him for blessing me with a wonderful husband whose love for me is almost as deep as Christ's love for me. I thank Him for His provision and for meeting our needs. I thank Him for His healing touch. I thank Him for His shoulder to cry on when I cannot take my problems to anyone else. I thank Him for His guidance and direction and for His forgiveness when I stray.
Thank you Lord! In the words of Thomas Ken,
Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
